Saucy Chicken Wings

Everyone needs a good wings recipe. Whether its for a bbq, game day or just a Friday night fun meal. This recipe is simple, easy and will have you licking your fingers!

Saucy Wings

Wash wings and set aside. Prepare spice mix by combining the following spices together. Marinate wings in spice mix.


Spice mix:

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika


Add wings to large ziplock bag. Sprinkle with spice mix then massage wings to ensure spice mix is distributed among wings evenly. Leave aside to marinate for 2 hours or overnight.


Bake at 180˚c for 30 minutes then turning wings and increase temperature to 200˚c for further 20 minutes.


Once baked place wings in a bowl and drizzle 1/3 of sauce and mix well.


Sauce:


1 cup bbq sauce of choice

1/2 cup honey

2 tablespoon ketchup

2 tablespoon butter

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Optional : 2 tablespoons hot sauce


Heat butter in sauce pan then add rest of ingredients. Mix till well incorporated. Allow to simmer for 3 – 5 minutes then remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in glass jar till ready to use or in fridge.
