School time can be stressful and our little ones surely need some heathy options to keep their energy up during a long day! Here’s some ideas..
My little one is a sandwich man so that’s what I give him for his school lunch!
Sandwiches:
- egg salad
- jam sandwich
- labneh
- cheese
- chicken salad
- chicken and cheese
- quesadillas
Fruit and Veg options:
Best options are those that your kid likes:
- banana
- orange
- apple
- blueberries
- raspberries
- mango
- kiwi fruit
- cucumber
- cherry tomatoes
- carrot sticks (if hard for your child consider a quick boil to soften them)
- raisins
- bell pepper slices
- papaya
- boiled broccoli
- peas
- corn kernels
- grapes - be sure to cut them length ways to avoid it being a choking hazard.
Other lunch box items:
- boiled egg
- yogurt
- cheese sticks
- fruit pouches
- small juice box
- pasta
- rice
and don’t forget to send a water bottle for them too! Water is so important for their little bodies!
