Simple, flavorful and quick to prepare, this green bean recipe will soon become your favorite go-to side dish! Best served with Saffron Chicken Legs for an ultimately satisfying dinner!
Green Beans
300g green beans fresh or frozen
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 small onion sliced thin
8 cherry tomatoes quartered
1/4 cup hot water
*if using fresh green beans, wash, remove ends and cut into 2-3 pieces.
Heat a pan with oil on medium heat. add garlic and cook till fragrant approximately 2 minutes. Then add green beans and ‘fry’ in garlic mixture. Cook tossing often till beans have turned a dark green.
Then add salt and pepper, mix well then add onion. Leave to cook for 5 minutes for onions to sauté. Toss in tomatoes and 1/4 cup hot water. Reduce heat and leave to cook for 10 minutes. Turn heat off & let it steam.
Serve warm. Best served with Saffron Chicken Legs.
